In this demo reel I try to showcase hundreds of hours of gorgeous footage in a 3 minute timespan, breaking it into four sections each with different music. Any input would be terrific: http://www.footagefirm.com/demoreel/index.htm

Thanks!

I like the way you edited the first bit, Joe, and you certainly have some lovely footage in your libraryl. I appreciate that you have a lot to cover, but, i think 3 mins is too long. Either split the sections into 4 separate videos, or shorten each section. Viewers will have got the message much quicker than the 3 minutes given. To be honest, I switched off half way through - because I had seen enough to understand what your company is about.

Nicely shot scenes Joel. I too got the quality and style within 1 minute, so a split would probably have more impact.
Producing this high quality library for videomakers is bound to be successful.

Beautiful! Leave it long. Once it's loaded your viewer can skip around at will.

The trouble is, most people who want library footage want it quickly, and know which subject area they want to look at - IMO thus will not want to skip around as Mike suggests.

The background and effects need to be earlier if you are leaving it long. Some of them look very impressive.

I liked it. If I need stock footage I know where I'll go for starters. So I guess it worked for me.

By the way, was it me or did the kick boxing guy actually miss the other guy's head before he hit the decks???
