Where can I purchase a 6 pin - 6 pin firewire cable of around 30 metres?

why ?

at that length you are way beyond safe data distance.

33ft are available from http://www.usbfirewire.com/Parts/rr-fw-002-20.html

but warns that firewire has a sensible limit of 15ft.

I found this 6 PIN TO 6 PIN FIREWIRE CABLE (20M) or (30M) by emailing some companies. The problem now is the price. The 20M one costs £79.99 and the 30M costs £105.00.
Spec as follows:

6 Pin to 6 Pin DV Cable

200 Mbps Firewire type cable.

Ideal for Digital Video.

Check the link above or type in DDV20 as the product code. Is this worth it or can I get it cheaper from anywhere else as I feel spending £80 to £100 is still too much? Do I have a choice?

yes , i've given you at least one so far.

the only safe way is to couple firewire cables thru firewire repeaters , but you want a long cable.

so

go and buy it and then come back and tell us if it works.
i'm willing to bet it won't carry video from a camera for that distance without problems.

The only ones I've seen are from Datavideo - who do the cables, repeaters and vision mixers that run on firewire. I believe that the repeaters arevpowered form the mixer though.
