Oh Dear!

I have just saved a Photoshop file with my Yamaha CD writer, on a CDR disc. This disk holds many images and until now has behaved perfectly. Yes you know what's coming next. During the save/write process the system locked and the only way out was to reboot.

When Windows 98 (2nd edition) loaded, and Adaptec Direct Cd was launched, it refuse to read the now damaged CDR disk.

Adaptec Direct Cd scandisc utility reported that the disc is "Seriously damaged and not repairable".

Can anybody offer any hope/ideas, as to a way of recovering the files on the damaged CDR.

On other discs Direct CD is performing OK.
