I have been running the beta version of Lightroom 5 on my laptop and starting to get to grips with it. So when LR5 was officially launched I bought it off Amazon.

It is now going back - between LR5beta and LR5official Adobe have changed the operating system requirements (now Win7 and above - I was using Vista).

I can't be the only person using Vista?

Re: Adobe Lightroom 5
I think it runs only on 64bit and even then many report it as slow.

Do not follow, I may not lead. Do not lead . . . I may not follow.

It's frustrating because I had been running the Beta version quite happily

LR5 isn't 64 bit only. You can install it on 32 or 64 bit versions of Windows 7.

Here's a guide to installing Lightroom 5 on Vista laugh

Hopefully that'll get you going, unless you've already sent the software back.

I have to say I have not noticed any slowness in LR5, myself. If anything, faster at making previews than LR4.

Thanks Mark,
unfortunately I have sent it back already. It never occurred to me that there might be a workaround.
