Something strange has cropped up in the audio section of FCP-X. Every time I insert an effect-music item in the Timeline I cant see or open the waveform tool. All plays well but I have to cut section of music and then go into Inspector to lower or raise music.
All other Projects on the timeline work fine with waveform, Only this new Project i started 4 days ago.
Have i pressed a button which hides the waveform?
Have shut down FCP-X and restarted. Still the same.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated. I can still work in the project but the waveform on the audio is not showing. Even the music effects from the Events folder dont show up on the Timeline in the Project.

Re: Audio Waveform in FCP-X
Thank you Ron, but what do you mean by TOP BAR?. The waveforms show in the video clips on the timeline. But audio imports don't show any or cant click on.
The Project Properties for this are 1920X1080|29.97p
All other Projects are: 720X576DV|25i
In practise it should make no difference. I think i pressed something and cant find solution.

Re: Audio Waveform in FCP-X
Sorry about the late reply, Maxwell - been away for a while.
Should've been tool bar and drop down menu. Seems I got it wrong anyway and you already see the Timeline audio. Does choosing View>expand Audio/Video clips help?

Re: Audio Waveform in FCP-X
Hi Ron. Problems solved. In the timeline I have edit roles and i pressed the wrong item which hid the audio timeline showing waveforms. I get the feeling FCP-X feed backs on this forum is still a new format. For people to give professional advice on a larger scale.
YouTube seems to help on certain matters in video format.
Thanks for your input and help.
