Re: BBC Radio flash microphones
yonks ago I think they used an HHB mic.

There were various comments at the time about the lack of a removable card, but the opinion was that it was safer to have to plug the whole device in for download, rather than have a reporter turn up with a mic, but no card. (cards were probably harder to find in those days, now your local chemist stocks them)

Re: BBC Radio flash microphones
The BBC used the HHB FlashMic (now discontinued, unfortunately) with the omni-directional mic. head.

They have also used the Nagra AresP - now superceded by the Nagra SD.

The Nagra SD has a choice of microphone heads, including a mono interview mic., so I think this would be the best option nowadays.

I have a Nagra SD, it's excellent. yes

HHB now sell the Yellotec range now that the FlashMic is discontinued.
