I have some 9.5 mm to transfer but I am not in a rush.
I have a couple of projectors, the one that I used last time was a pahthescope and i removed the lamp and it's cricular reflector - which happened to just be the right size for a dichroic lamp to fit in the hole.
i mounted it using a boss and clamp chemistry type rig and ran the lamp independantly of the proj. It wasn't pretty but worked.
But I was worried about heat.
Is there such a thing yet as a decent output LED/cold lamp that would do ( affordable!)
cheers

Re: cold projection source yet?
Depends how much you need, but LED GU10s are pretty good nowadays. We replaced two sets of 50 watt halogens with LEDs of about 5-6 watts, and the results are comparable for light with a big saving on electricity and blown bulbs! They run very cool.
I think there is also a link to G9s on that page as well.
