Just a little reminder:

Come and see us at Digital Media World (16-18 Nov)

Computer Video magazine will have a stand at the Digital Media World show taking place at Wembley Conference and Exhibition Centre.

You'll find us on Stand B375 in Hall 1. Opening hours are 10am-6pm on Tuesday 16 Nov, 10am-4pm on Wednesday 17 Nov (the show will close early to avoid problems with the crowds attending the football match at nearby Wembley stadium), and 10am-5pm on 18 Nov.

The exhibition is a showcase for new products and developments in computer video editing, animation and special effects, and we'll have available a formidable troop of experts to put some of the hype into perspective and to field questions about video editing buying decisions and technical problems.

Watch out, too, for a special-price subscription offer and the chance to buy back issues at low cost.

Among those who will be available on our stand at various times during the event are Dr Alan Solomon (yes, that Dr Solomon), John 'DV Doctor' Ferrick, Ray Liffin (ex BBC) and Richard Payne of video editing system builder DVC. You'll also be able to meet Computer Video's editor and deputy editor - Bob Crabtree and Peter Wells.

Other stands to look out for include those of Matrox and Pinnacle, who will be having 'DV cards at dawn' - their real-time cards, the RT2000 and DV500, will be on show. FAST will be showing off its 601 non-linear editing system with MPEG-2 compression, along with its DV.Now low-cost DV editing package. And, in-sync will be there, too, with Speed Razor 4.7 and a budget version that runs on the Pinnacle DC30 plus.

Macromedia's key product at this year's show is Flash 4, its web-based media program, which has been enhanced to accommodate streaming MP3, as well as support for long-form animations with background music and voice-over.

There are many other firms exhibiting, full details are at
http://www.digmedia.co.uk.

Digital Media World is a free event, but to avoid queuing, we recommend you register in advance. Tel: 01203 426 514.

That's it - Bob C (who's realised there is no place to hide!)

Just a quick thank you to ALL the many people who came to Computer Video's stand today (Tues).

We weren't sure if anyone would bother!

We're really looking forward to the next two days at the show.

Cheers

Bob C
