Hi 'Chicco230',

Are you using a SoundBlaster Live! audio adapter?

If so, check out this topic: http://www.dvdoctor.net/cgi-bin/ubb/Forum28/HTML/000049.html

Additionally there have been several pieces of editorial elsewhere on the Internet with the most recent being posted a few days ago at http://viahardware.com/686b_1.shtm.

Fyi the conclusion reached is pretty much, if not directly, in contradiction to what contributors to that very site were previously saying and, more importantly, what VIA Technologies themselves were saying in private correspondence.

Imo VIA’s PR on this matter is appalling and there still does not seem to be any advice on their Web site to assist customers experiencing this anomaly.

Cheers,
