OK - so now I have my DC30+ ready to install in my Dell Dimension P-II-330 256mb 8+25gb Win95 SR-2 pc that is used for everything ..... and is now about to be asked to take on the Computer Video Editing role too.

There remains one pci slot all ready and waiting - but will I need to remove some things before I can realistically expect it all to work.

I need the computer for other things on a daily basis (including earning some of my living) so cannot realistically afford to be swapping things in and out every time I want to do some video work.

IRQ usage is currently listed as :
00 - System timer
01 - Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural Keyboard
02 - Programmable interrupt controller
03 - U.S. Robotics 56K Voice Win
04 - Communications Port (COM1)
05 - TBS Montego Sound Blaster Emulation
06 - Standard Floppy Disk Controller
07 - Printer Port (LPT1)
08 - System CMOS/real time clock
09 - Diamond FIRE GL 1000 PRO
09 - Adaptec AIC-7850 PCI SCSI Controller
09 - IRQ Holder for PCI Steering
10 - IRQ Holder for PCI Steering
10 - 3Com Fast EtherLink XL 10/100Mb TX Ethernet NIC (3C905B-TX)
11 - IRQ Holder for PCI Steering
11 - TBS Montego PCI Audio
11 - Intel 82371AB PCI to USB Universal Host Controller
11 - TBS Montego Multifunction PCI Platform
12 - Microsoft PS2 IntelliMouse
13 - Numeric data processor
14 - Primary IDE controller (dual fifo)
14 - Intel 82371AB PCI Bus Master IDE Controller
15 - Secondary IDE controller (dual fifo)
15 - Intel 82371AB PCI Bus Master IDE Controller

So - can I poll for suggestions as to what problems I may anticipate installing the DC30+, and also suggestions for getting around the problems.

I could most probably live without the SCSI card (CD writer) and Ethernet card for a couple of days at a time - would removing these be enough?

Does disabling items in the hardware profile release IRQs? .... or just prevent the driver being loaded?

Thanking everyone in advance.
