Discreet edit & system OS --- a question is poised

I have Discreet edit 6.0, running on WINNT 4.0 (SP6a). I would really (REALLY) love to install Windows XP or Win2K.. but I was wondering if Discreet edit would still work with either of those OS's Anybody have an idea? Anyone? Anybody.. Tennis anyone?
