Did someone test a FAST DV.Now Card with Windows XP ???
Just upgraded to Windows XP Home Edition last week. Currently unable to get DV.Now Lite's Fast.Forward and Adobe Premiere 5.1LE working with it. However the card works fine with Microsoft's Windows Movie Maker (included in XP) - if you can live with the reduced functionality. Also MWMM doesn't offer any facility for getting the completed video back onto DV tape (just CDs, e-mails and web sites). Does anyone know of a 3rd party product that will write the resultant DV-AVI file to DV tape via the DV.Now Lite card?

My findings so far on testing the various versions of FF on WinXP full version:
1.FF 1.5 is NOT accepted by the WinXP .
2.FF 1.6 sets up normally, BUT Premiere 5.1 is not recognised for exporting captured files.
3.As in "2" for FF1.7.The latter is accepted by Win Xp and captures but the export module is blank, i.e. does not export to Premiere 5.1.
I have not installed Premiere 6,perhaps this will solve the problem.
Any comments willbe appreciated.

I am curious to learn how did you manage to use the card with the Windows Movie Maker. In my case I only got the posibility of recording wav files.Any tips?
After upgrading to WinXP, the DV.Now Lite card had been recognised automatically as a "Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller". It was just a matter of getting back to this position i.e. prior to installation of Fast Forward. This could have been achieved by re-installing WinXP but I used the new XP System Restore facility to take me back to an earlier checkpoint. This can be found in Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore. I've since given up on Fast Forward & Premiere 5.1LE and purchased a copy of the Pinnacle's Studio 7.0. This is an excellent package and it works fine with the card and the WinXP default driver.
