External SCSI or Internal IDE DVD?

Since I'm stocking up on cheap DVDs in Canada, does anyone know of any external SCSI DVD-ROM drives? I can only find internal SCSI or IDE drives listed on the web.

Alternatively, can anyone recommend an IDE DVD-ROM drive to replace my current 32x IDE CD-ROM, with DVD-decoding software? That may be a better idea if it's going to be fully compatible with all the CD-ROM disks.

Unicorn, would the Panasonic LF-D101E DVD-RAM drive work for you? I presume there is an external version available.
Best wishes,

I'd love a DVD-RAM drive if I could afford it! Actually I think perhaps I should go for an internal SCSI DVD-ROM drive to replace the IDE CD-ROM, as then I free up one IDE slot for another hard disk.
