How is flicker removed?

Timeline clip is selected

Effects panel  is displayed. Triangles are twisted for Motion and Anti-Flicker.

Flicker slider is moved to the right. (Number increases).

What else is required to enable flicker removal please?

Flicker has increased when Auto Colour or similar has been applied to the clip.

Have tried that Tony. Doesn't work. That's why I'm asking. Thanks for trying.

Les, when you post a question, it might help if you also post what actions you already have taken, and what the outcome of those actions was, rather than just say it does'nt work. This might assist those people who try to assist you.

The posted link is from Adobe Systems so perhaps you should inform them if it does'nt work.

You may also find a solution to your problem if you post on a dedicated Adobe user forum, where other users will no doubt have encountered flicker problems. (Or maybe you have already done so). Just a thought.

Tony. I always describe happenings.

When I say it did not work I have done exactly what the Adobe text describes.

Without repeating all the Adobe text I cannot say more.

I have done exactly what the Adobe text says should be done. It just does not work.

This flicker appears to be caused, (in this instance), by the use of items in the "effects" menu.

Remove the item - flicker disappears.

Re: Flicker in Premiere Pro CS6

Les, further to your post about flicker, I did a 'google' search on the subject and it appears to have been a problem for a number of years.

The degree of flicker obviously depends on the footage, but peoples' experiences reported in trying to remove it can be sometimes very emotive. (various forums).

I spent some time reading about flicker, and came across a plugin called Digital Anarchy Flicker Free. There are tutorials showing how it is applied and the results look quite impressive.

There is a cost factor which I believe is about $149. (is'nt there always), but it is worth watching some of the demos to see what can be achieved.

Thank you Tony. It's very kind of you to take so much trouble.

I note a trial is offered too.

Personally I will shelve this until more time permits.
