The Japanese crew we are working with had one of their Z5s stolen in central London this afternoon. It should be fairly easy to identify if it crops up for sale anywhere as it's a Z5J (Japan) belonging to NHK in Japan as opposed to the more common Z5E (Europe) that we would use in the UK.

We had a Sony HVR-Z7E camcorder serial #210958 stolen from our office in London in late August 2011. We are a charity so can ill-afford to lose equipment in this way.

While updating his video diary in a terraced house, the production car, parked right outside had its back window smashed in an attempt to nick crews gear. Quick re-action meant smashed window

At 22:40 on Monday 5 Feb 07, somebody slipped into my Garden office whilst I was on a loo break.

They took:

- 17" PowerBook G4, 3 years old, heavy (!) wear to the keyboard area, Fn 8 button missing, pitting and corrosion either side of the trackpad

I'm somewhat suprised but rather pleased that nobody on the forum, so far, has lost or had any equipment stolen.

Just in case, I would like to point you in the direction of other databases.
