I was wandering.... Is there any market for having one's high end home cinema system aligned by a trained and experienced cinema sound engineer, using the same test equipment as is used to install and align the (mainly) Dolby based systems in modern cinemas?

Just a thought to bring in a few extra £££

Hello,anyone.
Me just a new guy, is going to resign from any burden when I am going to be a 60 years old man. So,
free at last to do some thing Ilove. Made a DVD
video on my own story of which I write screen shooting, video myself, sound following what I want to say in the script, and ofcause to edit and transcode to final master DVD. That is the new
power of cheap equipments handed to us in these
moderndays. I have some gears for shooting & editing as everyone in the field. Is there any one
interesting to co-operate in this field, please contact me to share the challenge..

I suspect most people would buy a good DVD set-up disc and do it themselves.

People who pay big dosh for these kind of things expect them done at the time of installation. Fairly naturely, they then go back to the installers for further maintenance. I looked at the possibility of doing something similar as a career change. I concluded that it's not possible without also going into retailing AV.
You could try contacting people like Musical images or Sevenoaks AV to see if they need anyone with your particular skills.

I know of a couple of people that do audio & video callibration for home AV equipment.
They are ISF/ HAA Certified and charge about £250 to callibrate either the video or audio system. I am still saving hard to be able to get my system setup to its best with one of these guys, but by all accounts the difference is huge and therefore worth the money.
