Reading posts asking people to critique or comment on clips posted here always brings a smile to my face.

Next time read this before posting:

You're right. That's why I don't generally ask for detailed feedback any more. If asked to do so people will start to nitpick and not watch the video in a normal way. its the same with clients. I will simply ask if they thought they video presented their message in the way it was intended. Anything else and you are inviting them to start finding ridiculous faults (and as the article points out, things that were intentional)

There's no guarantee they won't do that anyway without being asked. A fellow forum member recently told me about a client who thought that a J cut was an unintentional mistake!

I rarely post my work and my benchmark for quality control is when the client pays the invoice and is happy with it!:D

LOL! True. But for me, starting from nothing as an amateur, you and others have been very valuable in helping me to sharpen my eyes and skills these past few years.

Apart from clips for curiosity purposes, and maybe a bit of fun - most of my on-line clips are private, so I can access them from remote locations, or let specific people have them. I've often wondered if the rubbish there does me any harm - but I've not seen any evidence of this. When people ask for comments, I'd not thought about it, but I do view the video in a different way. I'm ignoring content and looking for technical issues - which doesn't help.

What some of you are forgetting this is a international forum with no payment of any kind for advice.
Like the ad from Tesco, "Every Little Bit Helps".
Im here to learn and have a good relation with people who can help me and many others who would not post questions.
Many of you earn a living from the field of "MEDIA" and many want to break into this field. The computer technology is moving so fast and many of you have access to the product. So when you show and talk about these things it helps us on the bottom ladder. I say let people say what the think of your work if you want it shown and have feedback. Its you who has the last word regards comments.
