iPods to get direct Camera Connector - and lower prices.

Hi
From late March the iPod Photo, now £309 for the 60GB version, will feature a £19 optional Camera Connector to allow direct USB/Firewire downloading of digital camera images to the iPod hard drive.
About time too! An iPod is a much more realistic field backup option than lugging a laptop around.
(And there's the music as well...)

About time as you say, Archos's Multimedia Jukebox thingies have had this option for about two years now, and with great colour screens to view ya piccies on. They were the first with a hard disk mp3 player but without Apple's marketing dollars to advertise it as much.

Some of their new stuff is amazing.
