Any suggestions recommending a "small" mike suitable for a Sony Z1E and an EX3. Low cost would be appreciated.

Re: Mike request
I have a TRAM which is quite small but it's a lapel mic.

The chinese are now selling the camera mics I have mentioned elsewhere for less than £20: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Microphone-Sony-ECM-NV1-DSR-250-HVR-Z1C-PANASONIC-AJ-MC700P-HMC-153MC-180B-/400301255582?pt=UK_Photography_Microphones&hash=item5d33d06b9e

Re: Mike request
Thanks for the info. Dugi, I have a couple of lapel mikes but the link from Gary looks interesting as this is thetype I would like. A mike for general purposes.

Re: Mike request
Probably not what you want, but have a look at this mic.
It's very light - and you can change the capsules. I don't normally post links to my own stuff, but if you have phantom available - these are really useful. People usually buy them in pairs for stereo recording, but it's very handy being able to pick the right pickup pattern.

Re: Mike request
Sanken CS-1 short shotgun in a Rycote J-thingy has been a reliable companion since my first Z1 days.
And the funny little Rycote thing may be hard to find, so there's the J-Rod that will fit in the EX1's mic holder and provide mounting points for more traditional (less breakable) mic mounts.
