Hi,
Could anyone tell what software to use to transfer cam recordings (from tape)
to DVD i have a Sony digital handycam

1. pc or mac ?
2. what software do you already have ?
3. does the computer have a firewire port to connect the camera to ?
4. NTSC or PAL ?

I Have a PC Running Windows XP home edition
Nero is my burning software for my DVD
My Cam is PAL

well there is windows movie maker ( version 2 ) which is free that will allow you to capture the footage for free and allow you to output to many different formats.

nero should be capable of turning the finished footage into a dvd

BUT ... you havn't said if you have a firewire/ieee1394/ilink card in your pc.

If you don't , that is fairly essential to allow capture of dv footage.
