Two Premiere Pro CS6 short projects, less than 30 miniutes each.
How can they both be put onto one DVD or Blu-ray disc?
Must number two be imported onto Premiere Pro CS6 number one timeline first?
How can this be done, or should a diffent method be used?
?

Re: One disc - Two Projects
If using Encore for burning, can you not Dynamic Link to first the one project, being in the timeline via that, then do the same for the second project, and combine within Encore?

Re: One disc - Two Projects
Using Encore, put the 1st project onto timeline 1 then add a 2nd timeline & put your 2nd project on timeline 2. Make sure that the end action of project 1 on timeline 1 is to go to timeline 2. Works for me when I`ve done similar.

Re: One disc - Two Projects
Hi Les
As Infocus says use the Adobe Dynamic Link as follows:
In Encore go to
FILE, ADOBE DYNAMIC LINK, IMPORT PREMIERE SEQUENCE
Then in Encore
Right Click on the Sequence in the Project Panel
Now Select
NEW, TIMELINE
Repeat for your other Premiere Project. It doesn't matter which is Imported first as you decide how these Timelines are set to play when constructing the DVD.
Remember Barry's advice to link the end of the first Timeline to the second one.

Re: One disc - Two Projects
The two projects are now in Encore and are marked One and Two.
A chapter marker was placed at the beginning of each projects introduction frame - while in Premiere.
The Library of templates is missing on all Encore windows.
How can that Library be retrieved please?
Encore CS5 DOES show that library on the C: hard disc drive.
When installing CS6 it was advised NOT to delete Encore CS5 as Encore remains unchanged for CS6..

Re: One disc - Two Projects
There are many accounts of the solution to this problem on the Adobe Encore and Premiere websites, of which this is the most recent:

Re: One disc - Two Projects
Something I learned yesterday courtesy of the very helpful guys at DVC, my "C" drive was filling up, getting to a critical stage & although I trolled through the various folders looking for large amounts of data I couldn`t resolve the problem. I rang DVC who built the system & was helped to "Clean" Premiere! I have this on the machine only because of also having Encore for authoring. Encore creates a media cache which in my case was on the "C" drive as opposed to being on a data drive. To "Clean" the old media cache, go into Premiere & open a project, then go to top menu Edit/Preferences/media & look for "Media Database" where you will find a button marked "Clean" After doing so my "C" drive went from a critical free space of 9GB to 72GB! Hadn`t realised that Encore made these files so thanks DVC!

Re: One disc - Two Projects
I am surprised that a company with the reputation of DVC set up a Premiere system with the media cache on the C: drive. The need for the media cache to be on a separate, fast, hard drive is well known, and easily achieved within Premiere and Encore menus!

Re: One disc - Two Projects
In fairness, the guy I spoke to said that when he builds systems with Premiere on that`s what he does! and was surprised that it was in fact pointing to the "C" drive. It was built late 2010 so maybe someone else who was not as familiar with that aspect built it. Anyway, I thought it might help others.

Re: One disc - Two Projects
My DVC computer was bought in March 2011 Barry.
I had that trouble with C; drive space decreasing, at one time to under one GB.
DVC was contacted and the same procedure advised, but using Encore.
Have just followed your procedure using Premiere. C: HDD was 19.7 GB free (of 149GB) and increased to 32.2GB free space.
The same procedure was then used for Encore. Free space decreased slightly - to 32.1 GB free space.
This repeat procedure has been used before with similar results..
Obviously I am not a computer expert at all, but would have liked a larger C: hard disc drive. My C; drive shares F: drive.

Re: One disc - Two Projects
The point is that this cache should not be on the C: drive but rather on a second drive - also NOT the one with the ingested video files!
It is easily moved to a location of your choosing.
Clearing the cache from the C: drive merely produces a short term solution to a long term problem.
Having said that, you will need to clear the cache periodically wherever you locate it.
The cache has the same location for all Adobe suite software, so move in one programme and it moves for all.

Re: One disc - Two Projects
Returning to my original post. may I please ask procedure from here?
Encore - PROJECT panel: there are four lines of text.
Line (1) is Sequence for Project one.
Line (2) is Timeline for Project one.
Line (3) is Sequence for Project two
Line (4) is Timeline for Project two
There is one Pink Timeline displayed in the Encore Window..
Project panel:
If Timeline one is clicked it will display the pink timeline for project one.
If Timeline two is clicked it will display the pink timeline as project two.
What procedure from here to produce a disc please.

Re: One disc - Two Projects
Form a menu, which in the simplest case will have two active buttons - we'll say for playing project 1 and project 2.
With that menu selected in the middle window, click on one of the buttons, which will give you a choice in the right hand window of what to do with various aspects.
You then need to drag the "spirally squiggle" icon, (just to the right of "Link:") to a chapter marker, most likely at the start of the timeline. Then do the same for the other menu button to the other project. You can do this either by dragging directly to the marker in the timeline itself, or by selecting "Timeline" in the left hand top window, then selecting the correct timeline in that window, and then dragging to the correct chapter mark in the list of chapters for that project in the window below.
Be warned, Encore is a very powerful program - but seems to have been designed deliberately to be unintuitive!
