Hello,
I 'm about to purchase a digital camera and I have brought the choice down to two models, a Panasonic FZ18 and an Olympus SP570.
If anyone has any experience of these cameras I would appreciate your opinions to help me make the final decision.

Regards, David

Did you make a decision ? , I"m currently looking at the FZ18 and appreciate feedback if you went for it.

Apart from the zoom range these things are twins - they both look like mush at base ISO viewed at 100% (that's megapixel progress for ya).

Panasonic have CA and PF nailed but Olympus are trying hard and always do loverly colour.

IMHO the main difference is going to be in the user interface and handling - you need to have a good old test of both.

Decided against a bridge camera and gone for a Sony A200 DSLR , it takes Minolta fit lens so will be on the lookout for some of those.
