I need a good portable camcorder and I am thinking of buying the NVGS400, but checking out prices I notice they vary between £709 and £1,034 and also have a B added on the higher priced ones. Does this "B" have any relevance to the price?
The B could well be a face lifted model, so it's worth looking on the Panasonic web site for clues. But the original three-chip 400 at £709 is a terriffic bargain for an ace camera. Not so hot in low light, but startlingly good footage in proper light.
tom.
The B is the UK model. It's not a updated version.
As far as I know, all models have the same functions with the only differences being the recording standard for the NTSC models and PAL models.
Mine is a GC (which I think is the Russian market version) and is identical to the B.
Panasonic accepted the warranty on mine so I don't think it matters what version you get.
