Hello all, i have just received my new Sony HXR-MC2000 Cam. I have set the rec mode to Std. and had a play around filiming a few shorts. I have tried to import into premier but i get the message "error decompression audio or video".
What am i doing wrong, or what should i do to get this set up correctly.

Explain how you are importing.
The method we use is...
Copy ALL folders and files from memory card/camera memory to video hard drive using Windows explorer.
Use the Media Browser within Premiere to import the entire folder.
You will see an error message but Premiere will make sense of the video files correctly and join up any split files seamlessly.
If you are still getting a CODEC error then there must be some other issue.
List the O/S and computer spec plus which version of Premiere (trial or retail), QuickTme and ANY other CODEC related packages/editing/ripping software that may be installed.
