Premiere freezes while forwarding my dv video

Hi, i m using win2k and premiere 6 with my dvnow lite card.
Fast forward works well.But when i import my video in premiere and if i forward the video with the cursor, about a few minutes later, my computer freezes...I don t know why.
I can t work on my videos so it s really annoying.
Can anybody help me please?
