Hello
As I was looking the features of some models I noticed that some camcorders have manual iris. Isn't it the same with manual exposure? if not, where this manual iris (and gain) is used for ? Also which is the differnce between "manual focus" and "manual focus w/dial" ? is these characteristics important for camcorders (especially for film makers or those who shot indoor) ? thank you.

You're right the exposure level is adjusted by opening or closing the iris.
Manual Focus W/Dial means there is a thumb wheel or dial instead of a focusing ring around the lense.
