I have 512M of RAM in my pc so it would make sense to use some of it as a RAM disk or drive. Am I right in this?
I'm running Win98 and would like to alocate some of my memory, can someone help please?
If a back copy of the magazine has this info please let me know the issue date.
I've also posted this under 'system config' but no replies.
Thanks Peter

I can not remember the exact commands as I am not at home, but from what I remember, the Win98 floppy boot disk sets up a ram drive and unpacks various utilities into it during the Win98 installation.

I looked at these commands, one of the parameters is the ram disk size, and created a ram disk on my system for testing. But, as I don't have as much RAM I do not create one normally.

If you can not work it out from those commands, I will try and find them from my boot disks.

Thanks Keith, yes you are right Win98 does create a temp RAM disk so I will have a look at the floppy to see what comands it uses.
