Register and claiming Canon accessories

Just got the Canon Legria HF G25. Not had time try much, but I do like the wide angle lens, and the screen seems easier to select programs because it is larger than my smaller HF M36. The viewfinder is good for sunny days, but you appear to need the screen to select anything except what is on the custom button.

The first difficulty is trying to register on the Canon site, and to claim the free accessory!

Select the accessory, and progress to the form. Filling this in is ok until you get to the product which isn`t listed. I can enter the S/Number, but the rest is blank, so I can`t proceed.

Any ideas please! I`ve tried several times and it`s the same.

Thanks Tony.

That is the link! I have also tried the link from the John Lewis store where I bought the camera, and searching the web for any clues. So far none.

I have managed to register the camera, and fill in their questionnaire. I have left a comment outlining the problem I am having, and rated their site as "Poor."

Hi John.
John Lewis is usually very helpful. Have wird with them - in shop.

Hi Les.

Thanks for that! I always find their staff very helpful, but I didn`t think this could be so difficult.

I appear to have solved this, and claimed the battery.

Following the link from the Legria G25, I expected to see it in the list of products. It is DVC or Digital Video Recorder, so why not just Camcorder. However. Click on DVC and the Legria G25 is there. Problem solved.....
