Hi

I would like to stream a sony hdr fx7e camera over the internet (using hamachi) for one user only to connect and view the stream.

I have been viewing possible ways:

VLC only streams cameras via Linux
Real producer seems to be overkill for my needs.
Windows Media Encoder seems to be able to do the job, not 100% yet as the camera is not here yet.

I have read a few topics and threads here and it seems to be the best place i can help/info/advice on how to do this.

There are 2 things i need to do 1 one is to stream the camera over the internet for one time only for about 2 hours of footage to one PC.

2nd is to stream the camera over a network in an ongoing thing. Hamachi is a program that creates a virtual network thus removing any possible internet issues with Ips.

Anyone any adive or tips what i should do to do this?

Thanks

Anthony

You can restrict WME to specific IP addresses, to allow you to limit to your one viewer. We prefer to restrict at the firewall.
