Yes, looking for suggestions for excellent studio headphones, please.

Noise isolation isn't a big requirement, but comfort and accuracy are important. I prefer over the ear headphones to on-ear ones. I find the Sennheiser HD-25s I use when shooting aren't comfy for long editing sessions. I've also a pair of DT-150s but likewise I don't find them comfortable to wear for long periods.

Your suggestions welcome!

Audio-Technica  ATH-M50X.  Very wide, flat, frequency response - the bass end in particular extends further than most headphones. Very good sensitivity. Closed-ear and comfortable over long periods.  Best of all as far as I'm concerned is that mixing on these headphones will be very close to the mix that I get using my monitor speakers. £125 from Studiospares

For editing, good open back headphones are best.

I now use the Sennheiser HD800 and can wear these for hours - if they are too expensive, then look at the HD700 or HD600 - all are good and all are comfortable (but the more expensive ones are better).

The HD600 are excellent headphones at a reasonable price and used to be top ogf the range when they first came out (and I still have my pair).
