I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the contributors on this forum. Having been suffering from cancer for the past 6 months the posts have kept me going and i some cases laughing. I've just had an operation to remove the last lump and feel ready to conquer the world now.

I had started up my wedding videography business last year and was looking forward to some paid work this year, following some feebies last year. I went to visit a client 2 weeks ago, and wasn't feeling too confident about clinching it, you know looking a bit bald etc. She called me back today and wants to book me. I'm feeling pretty good now.

At least the time off my normal job gave me time to hone my editing skills etc.

I shall probably be posting a bit more now!!

Once again thank you

Gary

If your looking for some more moral support see if you can find a local users group to get some social and experience.
Look up the IOV they have local groups and non members are allowed to attend.

Gary, I've been "A bit bald" for the last 30 years mate! ;) It helps to make me a rich woman's sexual play thing.
Seriously, good luck to you for the future.

I had a head full of curls before I started filming Weddings, so it was going to happen anyway.

Hope your health improves. A few Saturdays filming in the sun should do that for you.

All the best Gary.

I've been pulling my hair out for ages now.

It's good that you have something to 'pick you up' and to look forward to.

Well done ! You're an inspiration to us all.

Good luck to you Gary. I have an enormous mop of hair that needs severely trimmed back at the very least every two weeks. Not only that, but its a very bright orangey-red colour, so while I do my best to blend in and merge, unnoticed, with wedding parties, I can often end up, on my wife's video masters, looking like some sort of demented mobile zebra crossing beacon. And I often envy people with a neatly brushed and polished pate.

All the best.

The thing that'll get you back Gary is the thought that as a wedding Mr Video you get to go to a new party every week. Rotten job I know, but someone's got to do it. All the very best, and what an excellent idea to start this thread.
