How is is a coloured background (for placing a title on the timeline) obtained in CS6 please?
In a previous Premiere Pro this was from a drop-down list.

Re: Title Background

Hi Les

It can be done in two ways.  Right click your mouse in the Project Panel (where your Sequences, Video Clips, etc are) and select "New Item" then "Colour Matte" you can allocate any colour you want with this method.  Put the Colour Matte on the Timeline track below your Title. Another way of doing this, if you are using Premiere Pro CS6 Title facility, is to draw a Rectangle and put it in the Background when you are creating your Title. On the Right side of the Title you have various choices of creating a Fill for your Gradient.  This remains part of the Title and does not take up two Tracks on your Timeline. Hope this works for you.

Re: Title Background

Many thanks again Harry. It worked fine. Did try to find. How complicated now!

Another title effect I would like to find - if it still exists - I think it was about 2007/8 and in eithe Premiere 6,5 or Pro one.

A title is displayed. It "disintegrates" in pieces when ending. Maybe Adobe have dropped this now?
