I've got a completed project that exist as an AVI. After creating a new project in FASTFORWARD and importing this AVI, I get a "unsupported standards" warning.
THe capture and editing of this video went smoothly.
I'm shooting NTSC from a SONY TR7000 and I'm using Fastforward v1.5.
If you only want to edit and then record back to tape, then you should not at any point in the process convert to AVI. Just keep it in the FAST DV codec from beginning to end.
If the file came from another piece of software as an AVI, then you should be able to import it into FAST.forward to convert it to the DV codec.

I used premiere to edit this project. Once I used "export\movie" this file was located in my adobe file as an "adobe premiere project". I imported this file and tried to turn it into a DV codec but after processing I got the "unsupported standards" message.
Bottom line: FAST.forward is not allowing me to import this file.
Your help is GREATLY appreciated.

Each time I try this I get the same message:
File cannot be loaded because it contains a different video standard.
Sounds like one of your settings in the export movie dialogue in premiere is different to that required by Fast Forward
