Virtual sets?

anyone had any experience of using virtual sets with chromakey? I'm trying to find a suitable set for a project I'm going to be working on soon and the only company which seems to do this type of thing is virtualsets.com. Their prices are reasonable and although they've got one or two reasonable looking sets, a lot of them are a bit OTT and American looking for my tastes (apologies to our friends over the pond!) :)

I'm looking for something a bit simpler, more like the kind of news and magazine-type sets we get in this country.

Has anyone come across anything like this before?

Yes, but without finding a solution. How much do you want to pay and what do you want it to do?

I ask because I've been looking into producing these with a 3D artist friend.

Rob The picture is only there to keep the sound in sync

Basically, I'm looking for something in the same price range as the "Virtual Sets" ones which serves the same purpose. Their sets come with about a 8 - 12 different angles which seems pretty good to me. As I said, I don't like a lot of their sets as they seem a bit "over designed" to me. The kind of thing I'm after is something simpler, preferably with a large video screen as part of the set.

I'm beginning to wonder if I can knock something up in Photoshop myself....

I like the concept and ability to pan and zoom and add shadows. Producing these in P.S. may pass as credible, but these are super good. Now if they only toned down the US aspect, I may be interested.

Do not follow, I may not lead. Do not lead . . . I may not follow.

Yes, Branny, that's pretty much my take on them too. There are a few more subtle ones here and there but on the whole they're pretty garish.

I actually quite like the set stv uses for its news programmes. (Here's the North Tonight one). If they had something like that (bit a bit different, obviously), I'd be happy.
