It's got to be new and from a supplier that the institution is allowed to deal with, so thanks but no thanks for any offers of second hand kit. (otherwise I'd flog them one of mine!)
I'm trying to help someone who's moved into a newly built set up which uses a system to capture live video/ audio and VGA to record lectures. The AV supplier has provided all the kit but has failed to offer a means of switching between the 2 supplied cameras.
They already have the system that is a portable unit that copes with one video input and the VGA and AUdio
So they have the option of only using one camera
Using two but with a picture roll as it's crudely switched.
Buying a CHEAP switcher or box that will soft switch two unsynced cameras (BNC Comp)
The best option that I've come up with is a cheap Datavideo at roughly £700.
Is there anything cheaper?
