What have you been doing with your Kodak DX3700?

As there seems to be quite a few people that bought the Kodak DX3700 I thought it would be good to see what people are using them for.

Here is a little thing I stitched together. It takes a little while to download.

Dear Martin,

How did you not get dizzy,?
Im presuming this was done on a tripod, otherwise how did you keep such a quality picture when spinning round and round?

Great looking little tea rooms i spotted there tho'

Looks very good quality for a "still" Camera, so to speak.

For anyone intirested you can also click on the picture set to pause it and the drag it round, to see it rotate in slow mo'
Kind regards.

i'm still trying to get mine to hold a decent charge ..... lucky if i can take 6 or 7 pictures before dead batteries.

will try real alkaline batteries tomorrow to see how long they last in comparison.

My father has had the same problem. If you start taking pictures and the camera dies try opening the battery door and then closing it........dont ask me why but this cured it for me!

Check out http://www.kodakcamera.co.uk for more on this issue

Cheers

Hi Shakey the image looks very good, impressed.

Would you be so kind as to point me in the direction on how to go about achieving the same affects for my pics.

Unfortunately I have just been taking basic pics at present, but seems to perform ok (although I would not pay £299 for one).

Your spot on with the battery issue, once I reseated mine the problem stopped, although I did by a spare battery as it seems all Digital Cameras eat batteries (unless they are lithium).

In celebration of finally getting the camera connected to the Mac, I took some shots this afternoon whilst walking the dog. These two came out quite nicely: http://www.btinternet.com/~perrybits/Forest2.jpg http://www.btinternet.com/~perrybits/Forest4.jpg
Other than some cropping, there is no other processing. I'm quite impressed by the camera's auto exposure. They will come out somewhat dark on a PC but they look pretty ideal on my Mac.

Excellent link http://www.panoguide.com Shakey.

Followed the site instructions and in 2 hours had a panorama on my web site.

So thanks again.

Next to try it out with some landscapes (just hope it stops raining some time this year in good old UK).

I use the Kodak DX-3600 which I bought for £210 for capturing images for web sites.
All went well at first, but then the supplied battery would not hold its charge, so Kodak reluctantly replaced it under warranty. I have since added a 32Mb card and this gives me 50 images at full resolution or 4 minutes of QT video.
I have used this footage in WME to stream video on the net. The other week I attended a cousin's wedding and followed the 'pro' & the videographer around taking some snaps with my DX-3600. The next day I printed out a couple at 10x8 of the bride & groom on my Epson C80 using Epson photograde paper & sent these off to the family. The reaction was that they must have been taken with a 'pro' camera and now are framed and reside on the fireplace mantle. Seems this little camera with its 2.2 mp resolution would make a good addition to the wedding videographer's outfit.
