Does anyone know what format will be the norm for tape submisisons?

If there are links to the different channel guidelines it would be nice to make single list all in one place for reference.

Thanks,

Gavin

A link has already been posted to current BBC thinking - http://www.bbc.co.uk/guidelines/delivering_quality/pdf/tv/HDBookv01_00.pdf - p16. For them at least it looks like HDCAM or HD D5.

BskyB HDCAM-SR preferred will currently accept HDCAM.

You can be certain that HDV will not be acceptable for delivery, even if shooting and production is HDV. HDCAM is, in my view, the ENG capture format for HD, HD-D5 and HDCAM-SR are the studio formats. HDV counts in the upconverted portion for rationing.

Get my test cards document, and cards for 625, 525, 720 and 1080. Thanks to Gavin Gration for hosting them.
Camera settings documents are held by Daniel Browning and at the EBU
My book, 'Circles of Confusion' is available here.
Also EBU Tech.3335 tells how to test cameras, and R.118 tells how to use the results.
